Carol Daubert has been a professional musician for over 40 years. She received her Bachelor of Music Performance and Bachelor of Music Education degrees from Wichita State University, studying with Dr. J.C. Combs; and her Master of Music Education from the University of Michigan, studying with Dr. Michael Udow. Carol has performed in a myriad of musical ensembles, styles ranging from classical to contemporary to rock and roll, jazz to musical theater. Since moving to Houston about 20 years ago, she has played hundreds of shows for Lone Star Lyric, Pearl Theater, Bayou City Theatrics, HITS Theatre, Main Street Theater, Island ETC, Applause Theatre, Stages, Bayou City Concert Musicals, Unity Theatre, Jewish Community Center, and the College of the Mainland. Most recently, she played for TUTS’ “A Celebration of Houston Stories and Songs”. Her other professional experiences include being a band director, percussion instructor, conductor, contractor, and music director. Carol is also the proprietor of the Dormouse, a music studio and house concert venue in Spring Branch, offering lessons, coaching, and college prep; and space for rent for others to teach, rehearse, meet, and perform.
