David Waters needs your help!

Friends,

David Waters has had to go back into M D Anderson and he is very sick. He
has an infection that is not responding to medication because his imune
system is so weak. He needs WHITE BLOOD CELL transfusions as soon as
possible. If you could help out with this it would be greatly appreciated.

If interested you can call the blood center at 713-792-7777 and indicate you
would like to be a White Cell Donor for David Waters and they will set you
up for the procedure.

The AFM President, Thomas Lee, made an announcement informing all locals that AFM Local 257 has created a fund to help Nashville musicians affected by the flood.

Bryan Harkness to perform on Fox

Bryan Harkness will be performing on the Fox 26 morning show on Friday, March 26 at 9am. Bryan will be playing with Brice Harkness, Gilbert Sedeno and Clark Lewing. This will give Bryan and Tierra Studios exposure to over 800,000 viewers, live. Tune in and cheer him on.

Jazz saxophonist Tony Campise, age 67, passed away Sunday March 7 in Austin, Texas. A memorial service will be held in Austin this weekend. Our deepest condolences go out to his family and friends. He will be missed.

Leadership & Recruitment Summit 2010

ON MARCH 1st through MARCH 2nd, a personal invitation is being made to attend our second ‘Leadership Summit’ for the leaders/contractors of Local 65-699. The Board of Directors would like to continue to present various summits and seminars to keep you informed of the benefits and services that we provide for you.

The summit is open to all freelance leaders, casual/club leaders and contractors of this local; the seminar is open to all members of local 65-699, as well as non-union members.

Please join us in the local rehearsal hall at 6:30 pm March 1st, and March 2nd at 10:30 for our recruitment/retention seminar where we will be addressing issues, answering questions and taking any suggestions on how to better serve you.
