MPF Scholarships for 2008

March 7th, 2008 by eddie

Local 65-699 will participate in the Music Performance Fund (MPF) Scholarship program again this year. The guidelines for participation are listed below. All members who have students eligible to participate, should contact Local 65-699’s office for an application ASAP. Applications are due back to Local 65-699 by March 25, 2008.

Scholarship candidates must be planning to major in music performance or music education or composition with a minor in an instrument. They may either be already attending a music college, or have a letter of acceptance from an accredited music college they plan to attend. Voice students are not eligible. An MPF scholarship is awarded only once to any individual.

Just as MPF is an equal opportunity employer, our scholarship program is open to all. Applicants should be sought without regard to race, ethnicity, sex, age, etc. Locals are encouraged and expected to seek the most qualified students in their area; neither membership nor relationship in the Local may be a factor or a requirement.

MPF must receive all completed applications and materials no later than March 28, 2008.
